Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Feeling energized by your job?

Recently, my colleague who was passionate about her job resigned because she completely lost motivation for both her job and for BNY Mellon. On the other hand, there are a lot of things that have also started to bother me a lot here, however, I love my job so much that as soon as I focus on work I forget about the whole atmosphere here and all the problems.

1jef+1atUVspE did you start hating your job when the company started forcing "wokeness" down people's throats? Really? I've worked here long enough to know there are far more cr---y things to dislike about this place then "wokeness". No fear though. This "wokeness" will be short lived and forgotten about until the next George Floyd. Then you can go back to loving your place at Pershing. I see poor technology, pi-s poor raises and BE reviews, too name a few real issues, didn't make your list.

Know all about lost motivation at BNY Mellon. I can relate! No point in being passionate about that place. It's a lost cause! Even heard about all the new "wokeness" indoctrination getting shoved down people's throats. Morale must be at an all time low at this point.

I used to get they way every February when I got a 1% decrease in pay due to a lower raise than the CPI. It usually only lasted a week or so before I found myself right back at it.
