What the PIP? Why are we hiring contractors?

Why are we hiring contractors again as we prepare to PIP 8% of employees?

We frequently use contractors to get work done on a location/asset that will be shutdown, or sold off or relocated. It minimizes layoffs and relocations. Is your location candidate for ELIMINATION/RELOCATION/SALE. Maybe your job will be moved to INDIA soon?

hey contractors at our lab are basically the same as XOM employees in terms of getting overtime/job work/ec. Basically more responsibility on XOM personnels to keep the contractors in check without getting compensated too

Isn’t SandD dying to fill these roles? What is going on? Is there a moratorium on moves?

cause they're cheaper, can be hired / let go as work dictates and no continuing long term obligations (pension, health care, etc).... why are you asking stupid questions?
