Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Return to work this summer

I’m in the TEMS group and we were notified we will be going back to the office in July. I think every employee should be mandated to get the Vaccine before we go back. I just don’t feel safe

Is someone forcing you to go back?
No, no one is going to force you to go into your office.
You are probably eligible to retire anyway.
Don't go back, you'll be just one less to surplus.

So you think you should be in charge of whether someone gets the shots or not? sounds like a good little follower to me. If you don't want to work inside around people then take an outside job. Oh yes, and never go to any grocery store unless you know everyone in that store has taken the shots. Or is it just work that you find offensive.. This should not be construed as any opinion about the vaccine or not, this is a statement about why should you feel so entitled to be in charge of someone else's decisions about their body. Obviously you are one of those union sheep......

The vaccines are only considered experimental and have not been approved by the FDA, therefore, no company can force their employees to get any of the vaccines. If you’re uncomfortable about going back to work, then read the CDC guidelines and get over it!

Many companies will make vaccination a requirement in many, if not all, jobs

Does that mean they will start cleaning the offices? Doubtful....if you catch Covid at the office they are liable.

My local work location went from 3 buildings to 1 building, now with COVID indoor distancing, a good portion of the work space isn’t viable. Don’t see the point of going back, I am disciplined enough to get my work done without having people hanging over me. Benefits just don’t outweight the risks, no matter what the company PR says. I certainly don’t want added exposure for my family.

AT&T should fire those that are not vaccinated. They are probably underperformers anyway.

Your right TEMS can be done from home or India, your choice.

So sick of all you WFH whiners. Wahhh I have to go back into the office after 15 MONTHS at home. You’re probably the same self–righteous people “doing their part and staying safe” while you order out at every meal while someone ELSE goes to work and cooks your food, who orders stuff from Amazon daily and have someone ELSE go to work every day to deliver your stupid cr–p, who whenever they feel bored and wants to go shopping takes for granted that someone ELSE went into work to be there for you. But you’re too scurred to go into an office and sit at a little desky. And then actually want to demand everyone ELSE get a vaccine to make your a$$ feel safe. Some of us have been in the office since day one, listening to stories of what’s really been going on with some of you lazy WFH peeps. Cuz that’s what it really boils down to isn’t it. You just want to keep a good thing going and stay home in your jam jams and get angry at the company for “putting your life in jeopardy” by forcing you to go back into the office.

I am never going back to the office. Vaccine or not, I’m not sitting at a desk all day with a mask on, when I can do my job from home.

Wear your gloves, your mask, your face shield and tie six feet of pool noodles around your body..... then and only then will you be safe.

go look on moderna's website they call the injection an operating system.

I think I will pass on putting an operating system in my body from billy gates. this isn't your normal flu vaccine this injection is permanent and changes your dna where your body eventually flushes out whatever is in the flu shot.

might also add it isn't fda approved yet.

You have a much greater of dying or getting sick from the experimental gene therapy Franken jab (not vaccine) than from COVID just to put things in perspective

You can’t force anyone to get it. Vaccinate yourself, wear a mask, social distance, wash your hands eat healthy and exercise. Many people have been working in person over the last year without a mask but doing all they can to stay healthy. You will be ok. Over the last year folks who weren’t comfortable quit their jobs and did something else. You can only take care of yourself.

don't care how you feel and whether or not I take an experimental vaccine for a virus at worst has a 99.5% survival rate is no one's business but me and my doctors.

some people have bad reactions to vaccines you know. and some people have religious objections on how they are made. so deal with it and grow up.

The vaccine protects you from getting seriously sick with covid. It does not prevent you from carrying it. Make sure your family is protected as well so if you do carry it home the chances are reduced. Sit back and watch the unvaccinated at work get covid and get sick and regret they didn't get a vaccine. Covid will cull the heard and eliminate the stupid. LOL

Remember we are a free country and have a choice to get a vaccination or not!If you can then take care of yourself for that shot and keep social distance as much as you can!Good luck

Maybe I'm missing something. If you get the vaccine, aren't you protected? Why would somebody else have to get the vaccine to protect you? If somebody else needs to get the vaccine in order to protect you, then I guess these vaccines aren't very good.

Then don’t go back. You’re a co––––––t to think you can mandate to others to make you feel safe. With your attitude about your coworkers, I hope your entire group is surplussed...
