Thread regarding Pembina Pipeline Corp layoffs

Stressed out? Read a post from below

My advice to anyone who feels they will be laid off is to not be afraid of Pembina, and go to your Doctor and obtain a note from them requesting one month off due to Covid/work stress, whatever. Send it to HR and ignore any tactics HR, the Nurse, or Management say to get you to keep working. Your Dr's word trumps all. At worst, you have 30 days to look for new employment while receiving full pay, at best you can potentially parlay it in to a short term disability leave while continuing your job search and receiving full pay. Return to work, and if you have found something give your two weeks, or wait it out for the severance package. I know two people personally who have done this at peer companies in the past year and they came out ahead. It has crossed my mind as well given everything going on. Engaging insurance on a potential leave will also cause Pembina's premiums to increase. Look out for yourselves, everyone.
