Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

I'm getting too old for this

As a full-timer, I've realized that the time off I get is nowhere near what I need these days to recover from the cr-p I have to take here from customers, managers, and other employees. By the time I get home, I'm so stressed out it takes me two days just to unwind, but then immediately it's back into the fray. Maybe it's time to hang up my 'apron.'

Yes sir...if yer working 40 with two days off and it’s more then u can hack ...it’s time for you to step away ...and a hungry immigrant will step up n grab yer spot
Message to American workers: do not let newly immigrated workers out perform you on the workforce...this is at your own peril
Work , get 2 jobs, do what it takes...do not shrink from hard work

If you have to take something to make the job tolerable it's time to leave.

You're not alone, my friend. Same here.
Everyone I've known who has left is happy. There's hope.

Don't hang up the apron, you need to learn to micro-dose. Go to your nearest CBD outlet and stock up. You need to ask for the "stress reducing" brand. Also you probably aren't sleeping well, get some melatonin. The 'grass is always greener on the other hill' syndrome, you will learn, you can jump jobs, request more pay, and find you landed on the other hill and the green is all sticker burrs. It is typically the same where ever you go. Bizarre demands from clueless managers, who themselves cannot solve the problem and either create it or are just passing it down. Remember the old adage. Why are managers like cats. They love to cover their sh.t
