Chevron mask policy from the workforce email

Let's put these rumors to bed.

Chevron will apply this guidance to its global workforce effective Monday, May 24th, 2021 except where superseded by applicable law.

To work without a mask in the workplace:

1) You must be fully vaccinated with a qualifying vaccine.
2) US employees must notify Chevron Health and Medical that they have been vaccinated.

  • Do this via the Employee Medical Record (EMR) portal prior to returning to the workplace.
  • Those without access to EMR should do this through their local Chevron medical clinic.

3) Business units will notify employees in jurisdictions that impose stricter mask policies.
4) Contractors should follow this guidance when at Chevron locations and should also follow any more restrictive policy mandated by their employer.

Everyone has the right to choose to wear a mask regardless of their vaccination status. Interference or disrespect directed toward any employee, contractor, or visitor who chooses to wear a mask is not appropriate. Please show care and concern for you colleagues.

In accordance with the Chevron way, we trust employees to safeguard themselves and others, by acting appropriately under this guidance and applicable law consistent with their personal vaccination status.

We are all adults and, yes, as an employee you must indicate dates of vaccination in the EMR and upload scanned proof of vaccination. Otherwise wear a damn mask or get vaccinated FFS.

Yes, and quite propagating the false information about Chevron requiring vaccine cards and all that BS.

I went out to eat at a popular eatery this Memorial Day weekend in west Houston and was pleasantly surprised to find everyone was not wearing a mask. Not the customers and not a single employee who were serving tables or working behind the counter or the kitchen prep area. Even the management personnel were maskless. It was a breath of fresh air, no pun intended. I for one have been going everywhere since without a mask on, H‑E‑B, the shopping mall, other restaurants. Nobody says a thing, no weird looks, no management pushback. Things are returning to normal at a fast clip. It shouldn’t be too long either that Chevron and other companies allow their employees back without masks in the office.

Yea, that's pretty much what we have too. There may be some sort of good will type supposed policy that they want to implement to say they did, but it's pretty much the honor system. I have been going in, no mask, no vaccine, no problem. Don't see anyone with masks. If people are vaccinated or choose to wear masks they have nothing to worry about from me or anyone else, c'est la vie!

Exxonmobil update policy for all US sites …. If you’re full vaccinated, no mask required effective June 1. All based on the honor system…

Stop lying about this. It's on the effing Inside site, in your inbox, and available via a dozen other means.

No one is going to take the bait and post internal company links, no one is going to post links to screenshots, and apparently no one is going to convince you otherwise. I do however enjoy feeding little trolls like yourself, it's fun, and gives me something to do during my 6th pointless meeting of the day. Let me know if you're still hungry.

Yup all fake nothing to see. We're not even a real company. No HOU150, 140, or 160. San Ramon is actually just a facade from a movie studio. We actually make foot ware, and have recently rolled out a Moccasin. We're going to test them on Mt Belvieu. Excuse me for a second, I need to hydrate with some Agua Blanca.

@1hfl, I just passed by there and no one had masks. I take it you're not even a Chevron employee at all. Nice try.

It's really fascinating to see that there are those out there that want to dispoot the shameful reality of Chevron's "your papers please" edict. Downvotes = Upvotes.

Just wait until the boosters become mandatory and there is a patchwork of people who didn’t get the initial round, people who didn’t get the booster in time, people who got a different booster than the initial round manufacturer, people who got the combined flu / Covid shot they’re working on, people who received a shot that isn’t effective against the Eastern Kentucky variant. Good luck keeping up with those records and enforcing a mask policy.
