Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Can Mondelez retain talented employees?

This used to be a place where you could make a career. How many young people are staying at Mondelez now? It seems that now no one wants to stay in one company for more than 4-5 years or until they gain some basic experience so they can move on. There is no longer the employee loyalty, which I now believe was wrong for multiple reasons. I wonder if these new trends suit Mondelez as well or the company simply can’t keep the best employees?

Did anyone say it is rocket science? I could sell in way more displays but I have no interest in adding 4 hours on to my already long shifts. It's the lack of service and being stretched thin that's the issue. The day doesnt just end when you get home either, so let's not over simplify this scenario..

So you honestly think that being scheduled 12 plus hour shifts of manual labor isnt complain worthy?

My significant other makes 60 grand a year with better benefits than me as a basic assembly line worker in a auto factory. Not sure where the h-ll you are getting your ideas from.

Guess what cupcake? They don't give a sh-t about you. Sell in a display? No one cares. Go above and beyond? Give yourself a pat on the back.

All you are is an SAP number to put the cookie on the shelf.

They have not cut their sales force because they work SOME of the employees like they are on a chain gang!!! How much freight should one person throw per day???

STOP saying it's just stocking cookies and crackers. I sell in to managers LOTS of extra incremental displays above "the plan " I then build all these extra displays I've sold in, plus I build all of the required displays. Some of these displays are huge and take 4-6 hours to build in one store. Then there is still the shelves needing to be filled from the load, and back stock worked. Then writing an order, and writing up credits.

Mondelez stock is doing great because they UNDERPAY their employees, people are still working off the clock, and Mondelez management knows about it, and they keep cutting any perks and benefits from lower level employees too.

Whoever you are that keeps saying we are just stocking cookies and crackers, please STFU, you have no clue what you are talking about!!!!!!

What are you folks complaining about you put up crackers and cookies. get paid allot more than the chain workers and do the same job. Does that make sense. Go work in an auto plant and see if the big 3 will treat you like a family. MDLZ stock is doing great and they really have not cut their sales force like other big companies. If you want to be in the food industry, name one big happy family company? Keebler? Kraft? Coca Cola? and on and on and on

I left a while ago and ran into a co worker/rep in a store. He said it has gone from bad to worse..hard to imagine! Management abuses employees like no other company I have ever known. Pigs!

Why would anyone want to stay at this place? Only people that I know (sales) that stay have families and are kinda locked into their jobs. Luckily I dont and am about to jump ship as well. Tired of ridiculous objectives, mo store service, and being scheduled to throw cases for 12 hours while somehow fitting sales into the mix.

The only young people that stay are the ones that have relatives or family friends that are high up in the company. I've never seen so much nepotism in a company.

Why should I give a sh-t about a company that would replace me in an hour if I dropped dead.
