Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Is there an end to all the bad moves?

Frankly, there is nothing Nike has done recently that’s deserving of praise. It’s been one bad decision after another, since January 2020. Off the top of my head:

  • CDA was the most incompetent, unprofessional thing I’ve ever seen in my entire career. The messaging, down to the actual decision-making was horrible.
  • Arbitrarily forcing employees back to offices, where they will almost certainly be less effective. We still have caps on conference rooms, still have to wear masks, limited amenities, etc.
  • The political propaganda. It’s disgusting.

It’s clear to all of us that leadership does not care about us. That’s why you see nothing positive. If you think this board is bad, try talking to some of the people you work with.

OP @1uht+1b1Yg7RD , unfortunately, this is just one small, small part of all the bad moves that have happened in the meantime.

People are angry because they are seeing the true face of a corporation.. things are only cozy up until there is an excuse to make cuts and lower worker quality of life. The pandemic gave that excuse
