Don’t Expect An Exit Interview When You Quit

Recently I quit here at Weatherford and sure, I had an exit interview. It was conducted via Teams with HR, but all they said was sign here, here, Cobra, list of phone numbers and that’s it. Not one question was asked about the employee’s experience with the company so you know they don’t give a s* about you. I felt like the “exit interview” was just a check box for HR to mark on their paperwork that it’s complete for employee 123 in case they were audited. They can at least try to mask their laziness better, act like they give half a s*ball and ask the most generic question such as “why are you leaving?” and gather some feedback. It’s not that hard. I’m just pi---d that they wasted my time with this process, could’ve just given me the paperwork to sign via an e-mail attachment and I could’ve read and signed all the sheets myself. I’m literate and fully capable of doing so. Ugh, I got no more words for this place and so glad I left.

I've seen the same happen to others. don't ever give notice. take all vacation that you are entitled to, come back and immediately quit that day.

I quit after 14 years of working with the company and I never heard a thing from HR. On the Wednesday before my last day working and going on Vacation my boss tried telling me my last day would be that Friday. He was so out of touch with what was going on that he had forgotten he had approved my vacation prior to my resignation. He almost looked defeated as if I had pulled something over on him. Oh well If I didn't use it Weatherford would have taken what I had earned.

When I quit, I told my HR exit interviewer of the criminals that they employ. Apparently that person reported it and criminals were asked to leave months later. However, the HR person was also asked to leave.

What's an exit interview? I thought when you quit you throw your stuff in a box and say goodbye to your fellow coworkers on your way out. ROE usually followed a week later in the mail.

Do you blame them? They know why you’re leaving. They know the company is a sh**t show. Why even bother with an exit interview.

I must agree, HR have a very lot to learn from other companies, they are the worst I have ever heard about. But again they do as they are told by higher up. The thing is being HR they should be questioning some of the stuff they have to do. Problem is they are s-it scared to do there job properly in case they get canned

HR should have random interviews with employees throughout their employment.
