Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

HR GMs cannot stand each other

Why can't the HR GMs work well with each other? They trash each other openly and two of them got in a heated arguement earlier this week.

There are 3 GM's that no one in HR wants to work for. They completely disregard the Chevron Way Behaviors and treat their minions poorly. We know who they are and RM doesn't do anything about it. That's why trust is a huge issue in the function. No one trusts those 3 GM's and RM's trust has evaporated because they were selected during Renewal. One of the good ones (GR) left because she couldn't tolerate it any more. Is anyone looking at the CES results????

The environment in HR sucks due to the new delivery model. Add in the bad leaders, no wonder people are jumping off this ship. More to come...

Im amazed at the ladies in HR who are hired out of high school and rise to PSG 26+ in a couple decades with zero ability to use MS Excel, POwerPoint, etc. They just talk and give advice.

Yah...dirt like this is fun to read. Does utilizing the Employee Ombudsmen truly help the employee or is the Ombudsmen really there to shield the company against potential lawsuits similarly to the role of HR? Most people know HR doesn't really protect the employee.

@8pfz+1b2t1pln I wish people would post more real dirt like this with details. Getting exposed and ruining their precious carefully crafted fake images is the only thing the upper management really cares about.

Employee caused a valuable report not to be completed; forcing Mgr. to enter into multi-million settlement as a result. Employee claimed they were victim of retribution and contacted Ombudsman. Ombuds Office hired outside attorney to investigate ($$$) and determine their was no retribution but the Manager who reached the settlement got dinged. Senior management tried (unsuccessfully) to keep a lid on the whole matter.

What was it about?

Has anyone else experienced an employee utilizing the Ombudsmen "more as a sword instead of a shield" (e.g. cause a fellow employee undue stress of responding to questions being investigated for a baseless allegation) ?

I've seen the "damage" done by the allegation and the employee/claimant in question was never impacted.

HR is where you go when you want to harass others without having to worry about HR coming down on you.

Really not surprised. RM can’t handle her own direct reports. Pathetic. Should have gone with an external hire to replace JL.

HR is a wasp nest of cronyism, nepotism and influence....the Worst offenders have used their network to promote and expat people into chevron and because of their tight network, perpetuate and hide it. Good luck not being a friwnd or family of the highest level HR.

It was pretty bad. RM is playing referee.
But if what was said is true....someone is getting terminated.

The GMs are in the no talent generation (95-02 hires). Most of them have massive flaws and are happy that the talented people are leaving Chevron.

No one can stand HR. It’s difficult to figure out who is the biggest group of whiners between HR, HSE and the IT dorks.

Was the heated argument over mask wearing, vaccines, diversity or all of the above?
