Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

When will it become inclusive for experienced workers?

My suggestion is that Chevron finally become inclusive for both people with experience and skillset.
I used to work with some of the best experts who were a pleasure to work with. There are exceptions, but today I mostly work with people who are more involved in backstabbing and taking credit for someone else's work than their own job.

@5zzo, Indeed, instead of you policing this layoffs site as you are doing, criticizing and interrupting actual layoff discussion topics by others, take your own advice and go forth and have fun. See ya!

Ok @3vbm, if so happy why are you policing a layoff site criticizing discussion topics chosen by others. Instead, go forth and have fun.

@3vpl+1b4ReIRB, Don't be even the least bit sorry that I got laid off, I am immensely grateful, I had enough years in for retirement and I left with a fat severance as well, win-win. I work part time now with benefits at a nice job that I love. How are you doing? I hope you guys are doing ok everyday at the grind, Keep those dividends flowing for us lol!

@3kak: sorry you got laid off, but you really need to move on for your own sake.

@2sgc+1b4ReIRB, So let me get this straight, you are still working at Chevron, yet you are trolling a layoffs site complaining that people who were layed off are here participating in a discussion on thelayoff.com?

Old white male execs and senior leaders love promoting younger people, favorites and females (Preferably attractive) as it make them feel better about themselves. Since many got to their levels with a large bag of insecurity about their own abilities on their backs (Masked as overconfidence and networking savvy) they undervalue experience and ability as a way to bolster their perception of themselves. Sorry strong technical experienced people out there but the next generation of leaders have even less knowledge so it will only get worse. The future is simple developments only and ignorance about how economically sub optimal we are. Chevron used to represent excellence in smart blue suits but has evolved into sloppy products and poor fitting brown suits

1gls: no, I want the laid off workers to move on to greener pastures rather than brooding in discussions with those still working at their previous employer. We are completely no out of the pandemic: look forward, not backward.

Do you want the laid off workers to respond with their opinion for some reason? You also phrase that question like someone who has never had a real job.

Experience, skills, understanding and innovation always rank lower than compliance and teamwork in all oil companies. Teams are full of duffers who contribute very little but takes up most of the time. The main effort in many teams is to actually to keep quite and agree or disagree when if you are asked a question. People created teams so that useless many can hide behind brilliant few and take credit for the work to become "leaders".

Hah! Time for new inexperienced blood, experienced ones will fade away. I suggest plan for a good exit.
