Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

No vision, no direction

I wonder where and when this company lost its compass? Where is this going? Does anyone know?
It is very difficult to work in a company where there is no vision. Unfortunately, it’s a big red flag that things can only get worse. I am afraid that we will soon be lagging behind the competition.

I can't think of a single area where US Bank leads with the best in class technology. Something innovative that they do that no others in their competitive space do. They simply copy what others are doing and bring it to market years after others have it in place. For this style of leadership, they pay their upper management a bundle. Doesn't seem too difficult to see what others are doing and do the exact same thing at an incredibly slow pace and slightly worse in execution.

US Bank lost its compass after Richard Davis retired and Andy Cecere took the helm.

The middle management level at USB are home grown useless meeting attendees. They don't have a clue on how to lead. All they know is what they have seen, and that's not much. These are not talented people. Quality and talented people leave quickly. Way too many management levels at the bank to accomplish anything. Seems like the best outcome for USB is to be taken over by another bank.

Soon? US Bank has been behind Credit Unions and other institutions which do have integrity and did not let their organizations become a set of groups of backstabbers and weasels. The only vision was to make money at all costs, regardless of how many people's lives were stepped in. US Bank is in life-support, and it is just a matter of time. Just watch it happen. Trash leadership with phoney middle management. Rot in he-l.
