Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Were these the worst years ever?

I came here just before the pandemic. My question is for those who have been here for years and who have managed to build a career here: do you remember the harder and more turbulent period that this company went through?

@1ibo, If you're not interested in layoffs and what layed off people have to post then go to a site other than Thelayoff.com, numnuts. Thanks.

The company has really turned around since the deadwood was cleared out in 2016. New CEO is focusing our business on the right things, slashing costs and slimming down the central functions. We are thru the pandemic and well poised for the coming surge in demand. Any morale issues are from those who liked the old bloated ways and wonder who moved their cheese.

1jyj: Not interested in what those laid of months ago have to say about this company. Going forward it is those employed who will actualize future success or more layoffs: I am looking forward. If you were laid off and are still posting here it might be time to refocus on your future rather than past.

This is the worst I've been through here. It was pretty good just a few years ago. Morale is really really bad and we are starting to see a lot of attrition. The time after the big layoff has been chaos and people are still unnerved about the future. Management would like to blame the pandemic and working from home for why things are so bad but they need to look at the chaos, heavier workloads, and layoffs for why the company is suffering so bad.

You mean to get laid off, or you just want to hear the opinion of laid off workers on thelayoff.com?
