Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Give Employees A Choice

This is a plea to our HR partners since there is no way to share feedback directly at work without the fear of it coming back to haunt you later.

Please give us employees a choice to return to the office on our own terms vs. being forced. Many other companies in the Fintech industry are allowing people back if they want (with the Vac shot as a requirement) or for those that don't want to return they can continue to WFH if they perform well. I am sitting on calls with VPs that are "back in the office" yet they are home, what does that tell you? People do not want to go back to that 9-5, sit in traffic 2 hours a day lifestyle when we have proven it can be prevented.

I have been a loyal employee of this company for almost 20 years and have always been an exceeds-far exceeds employee and I do not feel the direction we are headed is going to retain any type of top talent. Every single day more and more people are leaving and if you look for an OFS employee these days they are almost non-existent. If I do not want to be Vac, I should not have to be forced to get the shot to keep my job. On the flip side, if I am Vac but want a flexible WFH schedule I should be allowed 3 days in, 2 days out or whatever makes sense for my life style needs. Again, I am not talking about underperforming employees, I am talking about the dedicated people of your company that want you to succeed. Our stock prices were better before the OFD merger and Jeff running the company, we had a VERY flexible WFH/work life balance before our new OFD overlords took over and did just fine.

You cannot honestly tell me you feel the company is in a good place today from a morale standpoint. Every single week I log into Fuel we have bought another company, yet our raises are 1% this year and we have BYOD now. Open your eyes before it is too late.

I was a 10 year happy Fiserv employee until the merger and this past year I talked with recruiters. I'm so glad I made the jump to a new company. I have better benefits, 15% ESPP again, 401K matching that is fantastic, Stock Options as a regular employee, and a 60% increase in pay. The environment and peers are top notch, and they make sure there is a work life balance. The grass is greener on the other side. I would recommend that you make the plunge.

Fiserv is good at one thing now. Burning out employee's and running them until they say I'm done and leave. They don't respect your work life balance, and would rather you sit in traffic to be in person and be micro-managed.

Sorry dude, but HR is only interested in one thing on this board: Pushing lame propaganda.

You want WFH? Work for someone else.

Original Fiserv - Midwest run company
Post FD Fiserv - NYC run company

A vast majority of employees don't want that lifestyle. Losing the flexible work arrangement policy is basically the last reason there is to say a good thing about the company. Don't get me wrong I was very happy at Fiserv for a long time. However I just can't agree with the way things are going. I am out as soon as I can find something new.

HR agrees to have a meeting with you about this topic. You just need to email a person from HR to schedule a meeting. Don't worry about the people packing up your stuff right before the meeting. That is part of you not working in the office anymore...

I would get out too, Fiserv doesn't give a cr-p about you , in the area i'm in moral socks and it shows clients are unhappy due to Fiserv not hiring to replace people that have left, I guess because we have gotten such a bad reputation the other week we had a 56% rating on indeed

My advice (because I did it thankfully) is to align yourself with a Senior level recruiter from the competition and get the he-l out. You will immediately see the difference financially, mentally and with the quality of your peers and leadership. Stop being a FISERV martyr, no one and I repeat.... no one cares. Period
