Does anyone know if there are plans for TSS other than remain with IBM post kyndryl? It’s said to be staying, but long term doesn’t seem to fit and also seems underfunded / lacking in investment.

Mainframe TSS revenue is almost 100% GP. It is therefore part of the Mainframe cash cow. IBM is not giving that up, as it is used to fuel the mostly unsuccessful diversification efforts, mostly related to cloud business.
They wont keep TSS ,they are servicing lenovo laptops and MacBooks losing money. To say the least
It would not surprise me if TSS is absorbed into Systems. IBM’s goal is to get down to 2 divisions. Cognitive/AI/Redhat/modernization division, and a consulting/service delivery/HW support division. Why do I say this? IBM has given the Wall Street analysts an outline that shows exactly that. Most of the smaller/niche offerings from IBM will be partnered off as they are not part of the going forward strategy. Essentially IBM is taking Redhats strategy pre-merge and implementing it over legacy IBM. New IBM will emerge as a mirror image of 1975 IBM. What does that look like New IBM will be focused around all things mainframe. All things around Intel are already covered by the hyperscalers so new IBM will just license to them, and not really try to compete with them
Given the current TSS profitability to me it will be left in IBM at least for remote support, governance, offering and service planning. What could be reasonable to give away could be Field delivery, everything else might be integrated in Systems but be prepared to a lot of overlapping positions.
I am sure they are working on selling.Dont think for a miunute TSS is part of the future of IBM
