Do you have a degree at all? The RR's are not using the PSR business model to "trim the fat" to avoid bankruptcy. They're using the model to trim costs to paint the illusionary pictures of efficiency. You really should research the PSR business model, before you make assumptions. If you think the PSR business model is so great, then ask yourself why the Illinois Central went under. Take a wild and educated guess as to why that RR went under. PSR decimated that RR into bankruptcy! PSR was designed to inflate the stock price to make the RR's more attractive for investor opportunities, and nothing more. The articles you posted are garbage, mean absolutely nothing, and are typically biased. If you want a bigger picture, then go have a look at the SEC filings regarding stocks. PSR is a job ki---r. Better yet, go have a look at the videos of the subcongressional hearings about the RR's using PSR. Get back to us and let us know how many congress people actually applauded PSR. If you don't respond back, then we'll have your answer. I have a business admin degree, and a mechanical engineering degree. I never worked for the NS, but I was very much aware PSR and it's destructive potential. I will agree with you though on the one thing you got right. People will lose their jobs, with no real away around that. Please don't make assumptions or opinions, and honestly think you're helping. There's too many people that think PSR is a good thing. I'm here to tell you that it's not.
