Move Non-Value Added SLS Positions to India and Malaysia

Employee morale and productivity will improve if we keep technical and engineering folks in the US and move those non-valued SLS positions overseas.

Just curious if we (USA) keeps outsourcing our domestic jobs to other countries, who will be left here to be able to buy goods and services, if we don't have a JOB?

@byb+1bBWhzlE sounds like you’re an sls, good luck getting good quality from Malaysia or India, they aren’t paid well enough. Perronas and other companies pay them better than Exxon ever will

I was US-based and my SLS and manager were in Malaysia. Last year, none in the Malaysia teams got booted out, mostly US based were PIP'd. Guess who were the culprit. Do you want this?

Right - keep the most expensive plug-n-play roles in the US.
For morale's sake.
Sending that telegraph to dallas now.

Hahah. Technical roles are being moved to India. You are next. US engineers all will be fired once they train their replacements.

SLS overseas eh? Watch what you ask for. Who would still rank you? Could bias play a role then in ranking?

To the poster, please define “non-value added SLS” and help us understand why technical SLS positions are value added?

ExxonMobil should get out of the engineering and operating business altogether IMO. Focus on money making OBO business.
