Thread regarding IBM layoffs

They follow the path of least resistance

Cheap can't fix anything. The fact that IBM thinks that the company will be fix itself by getting rid of experienced people and employing average people, means only that this company does not have a bright future. Is it possible that the only solution they could come up with is to hire some cheaper workers? They couldn't think of any other way to fix this company?

The next step is an all-volunteer workforce?

Once you go public and have to bow to shareholders and Wall Street, your days are numbered. It’s downhill from there.

"IBM is about generating cash for shareholders for short term. "

Is that actually written in the by laws, or compensation plans for the C-level folks somewhere?

Kinda curious, since I know nothing about how life at the C-level actually is.

IBM is about generating cash for shareholders for short term. Not customers, not employees, not society. IBM executives are quarterly-driven as no one believes in IBM share price. IBM will sell experience and buy cheap to make a buck every day.

The Execs don’t care if the company goes under… they are milking the cow as long as they can to fluff their bank accounts…

Heads up IBMers, you are all sheeps!
