Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Salary increases

So many people have left on the trade floor that upper management has become so desperate that they gave multiple experienced traders salary increases. They did this because they were threatening to leave too.

Should the rest of us band together threatening to quit? Seems the only way to get an increase….. especially with 401k frozen until 2023

Chosen ones with a sponsor have had raises in 2021. There are the have and the have nots at ExxonMobil. The haves don’t talk to the have nots about their RSUs and raises. They wouldn’t want you to give them poor KO feedback and cause them to flame out.

In my office so many have quit and management is hiring contractors again instead of employees.

The trading floor, all of you please leave and save the company a lot of money. You are worthless and have been for the last two decades. Barely capable of competently balancing supply and demand and losing money while doing so. You are all self delusional losers. So please go ahead, we encourage you to do so, and leave, now. Their are plenty of opportunities out there for you All that will pay you so much more. Don't forget to put on your resume that you participated in the ExxonMobil failed three year "mark to market" program that lost four billion dollars, was the subject of several unflattering Rueters articles, before Woods bisbanded the absolute failure of the program supported by Madden, Cobb, and Brownell in 2019, more Woods syphocants that need to go.

This didn't age well. 401k was announced today... it's not frozen to 2023 like people seem to want to claim.

Do you think the company sharing targeted salary treatment would motivate people or demoralize people? Very curious about this. Do people think this is a good sign? …or do we end up with a lot of ‘why not me’ -ers?

It might be more of a psychology question, but I am interested all the same.

It’s ok OP, I believe you. Joke’s on the guys who think company plan can tell them anything of use.

Guess you were talking out of your a$$ @OP. I sent that message prior to them announcing the email about the 401k match being reinstated. How about not spreading useless rumors like that if you don’t have the facts.

Have you seen next year’s company plan from corporate for benefits rates that came out recently? Or are you talking out of your a$$ when you say that the 401k is frozen until 2023?

I thought salary increases were put in the budget yearly. You mean the budget can be changed at any time? Wow

And aren't pay raises something you are not supposed to talk about? That's how it was for me for 40.5 years.
