Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Optum is trash

You would be lucky to be laid off. Then you can find work at a company that cares about their employees.

Optum has been nothing but a nightmare since they acquired our company. They merge us with other acquisitions and then let us all fight each other for platform dominance and then worry your a-s off for years waiting for them to trim the fat.

You give and give to show you're a team player and then they take and take without recognition or reward.

It looks like they are trying to get rid of us too. New bosses and now a change of requirements that makes the daily job near impossible. The new bosses will not even introduce themselves. My coworkers are so stressed out and on anxiety meds that we are just waiting for the final shoe to drop. Way to go Optum.

God you are so right man. Our American working life has increasingly become more like a cult - people are tied financially (because they need to repay home loans, college fees, need healthcare etc.) and stay fake-positive to try to stay "in the game" but its all bull and led by propagandists and other well off typical US CONsultants/pep talkers.

It was a place where people take pride of being corporate slaves. Corporate Simps

Today was my last day. I learned so much and will always value my teammates and the people who laid me off so they could get a bigger bonus for their country club membership and 3rd vacation home. I have a 2 week severance and that’s it. But the culture, company family, and lessons will be much longer than 2 weeks…it will last forever in my heart and soul. Thank you so much-Employee Alumni.

Focus on finding a side job that appreciates your work and do only the bare minimum here. They only give you a meets expectations so why give more.

A corporate simp is defined as that one co-worker who treats his work like the a religion. They'll literally work themselves to the bone if it means getting some sort of praise, pizza party, snack train, or participation award-2 dollar paper certificate or 5 dollar plastic 'trophy'. Don't be a corporate simp.

I'd like to see them close down the Clinical Operations Department (probably multi-state), especially Clinical Support Teams, and Operations Physician Assistant Services (Newtown Square, Norristown, Mn.) . Then those two-faced people who never did anything but gossip, take breaks, and trash people behind their backs can start all over somewhere else. They wouldn't last a week doing that same thing in real companies.

Too many corporate simps. Life's short. Stay away from those places

It's a job. Nothing else. Just do your job, smile, nod, clap, and go home. In the meantime look for other jobs. There's no secret formula in the cess pool.

That was us empire corporatism. Everything was about $, status, and little else. No wonder why the us failed.
