Relocation Pay Back?

Has anyone seen an employee leave the company prior to the one year relocation period and have the company actually come after the money?

My last day at EM is 366 days since I relocated to a new position.

I've seen lawsuits where the company sued former employees who owed tax equalization payments or other loans. The company wins every time.

They will make you pay it back. I’ve known interns who had to pay money back after their last work date changed slightly.

Yes! I’ve even seen them ruin employee’s credit when they didn’t get their money on a timely basis. So, don’t think you’re off the hook when it comes to repayment.

I mean just don’t pay them back. Peace out.

Not worth the risk. Mine was like four or $5000. That’s more than my biweekly paycheck.
