Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What has RTD done for you today?

Or in the last year? Last five years? Last 10 years? I can’t think of a single thing! Get rid of the overpaid org. We are better off without them.

Time to shut the money off to the assisted living facility in Annandale,,nothing to see here! Management ranks fat as pigs, EMRE is past its expiration date. Upper management is in a coma, along with HR so useless . New pitcher of koolaid in the atrium ! Don’t believe the lies.

I know the engineers that work/worked the Bakken, and they would take serious exception with your comment. RTD SIMULATED savings in the Bakken. Other competitors did not follow the same path and have better wells. This same thing is playing out in the Permian right now.

RTD supervisors, team leads and managers that end up in other parts of the organisation are a shame. They hardly know anything about business and have an i herent sense if arrogance as well, jist because they have a phd. They play the I&D card if you raise an issue with their competency. They promote their own and inbreed.

Like millions of dollars spent on ‘in house simulator’ only to use external products after 10 years of lost time and money, there are many more projects getting recylcled everyday to pretend to have some work.

RTD is truly a waste, because of the dismal people that they hire. Watch out for a RTD rat near you, question them often its fun.

Did you watch Innovate Forum? RTD saves us Billions in Capex savings - not a typo - “B”illions in Bakken itself. And plenty more Billions in Permian. It was presented all the way to Dallas. Are you suggesting you know more than all layers up to Dallas? Don’t think so

Fire everyone who works at RTD, EMRE, and CSR. Fire anyone who was hired by these mo--nic organizations and managed to snakes into other organizations. These are bunch of useless obnoxious people who can neither do technology well, nor the leadership. Dogs.

You’ve inadvertently made his point:
Geo/Fac/operators/negotiators are central to rev generating ops and have tangible effect on other rolls. Research is valuable so long as efficiency/optimization gained from learning generates a return. A number of folks would argue we aren’t generating that return.

10yr completion engineer can often tell you what buddies at EOG are doing to optimize frac design, no $10MM fiber projects required. What’s “needed” is retention of experts (fields above) that save Corp money avoiding high dollar mistakes/optimize. PHD’s that struggle to quantify cost savings/eff gains from their science projects are a tough sell to folks that have actually touched a wellhead

That said, curious if downstream sees business results more often? What specific process couldn’t be done without RTD input?

It’s an easy question to ask anyone - What has XYZ group done? Folks in Houston can say it doesn’t require tremendous talent to do what field people do — should just contract it out, no competitive advantage turning pumps and keeping valves greased. Folks in field can say what the heck I am the one making the oil flow whats Houston doing, bloody snobs.

Unless commercial negotiates contract with mineral owners we can’t do anything. Unless geologists tell us where to poke ho-e we don’t know what to do? Unless drillers drill and complete that well I can’t get oil out. Unless my facilities and project folks build facilities and pipelines I can’t store and store oil. Unless I have negotiators and marketers otherwise I can’t sell it. Same thing with the oil we buy to refine and sell the products or the chemicals we generate. I need IT to keep me out of ditch from the malicious world and to keep me efficient. I need controllers to keep us out of jail. I need lawyers as the world to write best contracts and keep us safe from malicious groups. I need HR to ensure we are fair in all our practices. I need administrative folks to keep our daily life running.
In all this stream RTD,EMRE, CSR helps to make us more efficient. Most of the training we get also is developed and given by the scientists.
In reality we all are a single team. Get your head out of ditch guys — today was a good day all said and done, company in all earnest came forward saying the worst is behind us and we have a brighter future to look ahead. Let’s be cautious but still be optimistic. Your loved ones will thank you if you keep that attitude !
If you can’t, then remember the story when all body organs try to decide who is the most important and the butth0le decides to go on strike —
