Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

There are only two choices

Not trying to be a smart a-s or anything but I do have a question. If you know EM isn’t what it once was and that they plan on cutting headcount over the next few years what are you going to do about it? Are you going to sit around and hope you’re not impacted? Or are you planning to move on? Realistically those are the only choices you have.

If you have a better career option then consider leaving just like anyone else. If you're going to stick around and enjoy the healthy paycheck then it's probably best not to whine all the time if you want to keep your job.

as a non-binary individual, some are left without this option.
can't really measure what i am observing but not one quantum will replace quality treatment.
is that an answer to the question, some asked.

I'm paid very well for the work I actually do. This is the same situation for many at XOM. I have looked around and there are no jobs paying what I make for what I do. I will stick around until they force me out.

Smart young ones will leave. Those approaching NRE will stay and so will the young lazy ones.

My job is just a source of income for me, so I'll ride it out until they no longer pay me a decent wage. If I was "ambitious" or my identity was tied to my job, I certainly wouldn't work here or even in this industry let's be honest.
