As said above, cloudpaks take software customers already have, bundle it and sell it with a new platform layer. Often cloudpaks only support a portion of the old software (CP4D versions of Cognos and TM1 for example are very limited). Sales reps are incented to sell cloudpaks to legacy customers, to magically transform existing revenue into cloud revenue. To make the sale, they downplay the limitations and play up the value of the discounted bundle. It results in less revenue and unhappy customers, but everybody gets their bonus.
CryBMers, you have it so good. Just clock your hours, pretend to be doing earth-shattering work (remember Watson the cancer cure?), and stop your whining. Post your worthless stinking data science badges on LinkedIn and wow the world with your BS.
Bruh, it’s sarcastic post. Lighten up.
$300B over how many decades? If this market segment ever reaches $300B, IBM will onlt have a minuscule share of it. If there is money to be made in cloud, it won't be IBM taking the lion's share of it.
It doesn’t hurt to dream. The end of IBM is near.
Don't you worry ibmers
Cloud paks are gonna take IBM stock to the moon 🤑🤑🚀🚀🚀
CloudPaks are essentially replacement software for what customers have already deployed in the past. And actually most customers are already saying that it is saving them money!!
So based on that I expect revenues to drop significantly. IBM projections, we all know, are always total BS.
AK will be replaced by the end of 2022.
