Biggest nepotism company. From ELT to interns onboarding, 99% get in through network or connection. All the managers and directors plugged in their kids from first year of college for summer in internship program so that the fees that semester is covered and these college interns have fun no work.
HR is outsourced to a vendor and HR rep for name sake set up interview to be compliant. They look for scape-goats like citizens and GC holders. Onboarding all decided either to convert a contractor or bring friends or relatives.
It reminds me Mafia game of Mafia ki----g the poor villagers, doctors and cops :)

I actually brought this up with management a few times. I was told that Cisco is a "family".
How many In-an husband and wife work at Cisco? Bwahahaha
Cisco IT has always been relationship driven. The amount of wasted money and hidden failed projects is astonishing. Hiring family members is the norm.
