Pittsburgh Elective Work-in-Office Pilot Program

Does anyone actually believe that the company has been "seeing increased requests from staff members who would like to work in the office"

I don't know a single Pittsburgh employee that wants to return to the office in September so I find it hard to believe there is a significant amount of employees that have been asking to return to the office now.

<40 people applied to return early. Out of 5000+ employees in Pittsburgh.

I WANT to go back to the office, yes, definitely. However I would like it to be for another company.

Would I have gone into the office for the pilot program? Yes. Will I do it with four people to an elevator, not being able to go to my old floor, have to wear a tracking device, mask in motion, and answer a health questionnaire, he-l no.

People in Pittsburgh are emotionally broken. They just need to get away from their depressing family that's all

You're giving them the benefit of the doubt that such an increase even occurred. Personally, I believe they completely made it up to see what type of reaction it would get.

Judging my the Poll question posted this morning, several have no plans of returning to the office.

"seeing increased requests from staff members who would like to work in the office"

C'mon, wise up--we all know these corporate shills can spin their PR blather to make it appear however they want it to.. "Increased requests" probably means the first survey had 2 people respond they wanted to go back to the office...and in the next survey it was 4...so hey, that's a one hundred percent "increase," right?

I work with colleagues across the country, of all ages, and haven't had one tell me they want to return to the pre-COVID in-office days.

I know of a few colleagues who want to work from home due to personal reasons (kids) however most of the members in our department (including my manager who I have had multiple conversations with prior to this announcement before senior management started flip flopping) want to continue to work from home. Our productivity and collaboration has not gone down one bit working from home.
