Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

No exit interview....? not shocked.

I'm leaving, and no one wants to get any tribal knowledge out of me? No one wants to pick my brain for 6 years worth of insight? Sigh... sadge. Not even an attempt to find out what skills are walking out the door?

Its not that Fiserv doesn't care, its that no one is in a position to care. No one has any ability to do anything other than make that one metric their boss is graded on. Keep putting digital band-aids on your fax machines baby. FISV to the CORE of the earth! Wear some orange for Frank.

@1qeq+1bJl6Ht9 Humm, you have no idea what your talking about. I was labeled as a high performer every year to the point of walking on water. I didn't get an exit interview, and implemented programs that saves the company millions. I didn't get an exit interview. No biggie, but you should know that it isn't just low performers that HR doesn't care about.

@1qeq+1bJl6Ht9: it's 'must have', not "must of", muppet.

No wonder employee quality is low; we just saw prima facie evidence that HR isn't even literate at a 6th-Grade level.

When I left, they asked me for one. They politely cut it off after roughly 10 minutes of telling them them exactly what I thought of their management, that I have everything I ever did documented in full detail, and to not bother me ever again after I left.

Two weeks later I get recruiters pestering me.

We will get it figured out after each problem gets escalated and we have to scramble to figure it out for the first time again.

Also, it is not unheard of for the person leaving to volunteer the handover information in a long descriptive email to the team just before signing out for the last time.

People are missing the point.

Exit interviews are conducted by companies that want to identify and fix problems with their employees.

No exit interviews in a Fortune 500 company is an indication that they do not give a f**k about employee problems.

This should tell you a lot given that there is a hiring problem at the moment.
