Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What questions are asked?

Before I begin submitting applications I was wondering what types of questions HR is allowed to answer? From my understanding they are only allowed to give out date started/date ended, salary and would I be eligible for rehire. A coworker said that’s not true and that they are allowed to give out more information. Anyone know the answer? I wouldn’t ask HR for obvious reasons.

Q: I NEED TO HAVE MY CURRENT OR PREVIOUS HONEYWELL EMPLOYMENT VERIFIED, WHERE CAN I REQUEST FORMAL VERIFICATION?
Go to the website at the link, scroll down to the question about employment verification. It's a 3rd party website that provides verification.

They can only confirm that you were an employee and provide dates of employment.

I think it has to do with your state more than anything. Some states allow more information than others. And have more lenient courts, one way or the other. Also, things can be stated in a way that meets the legal requirements, but can give a different impression. Be careful.

I have wondered the same thing. Hopefully, and former HW HR troll who has been through the 5-step humanity recovery program will post something useful...

I can't figure out if you're leaving or wanting to apply.
