The trader gig ain't bad... that's for sure. You think they are going to cut the money makers? I moved on from PIL to trading firm. Small shop, nice. night and day difference in culture and lack of BS. Plus being on a trading team even as support is different. Small group = managing director knows who you are. Support the business, and get bonuses even while still collecting 3 months severance. Whole different world.

Best thing about being a trader is being ranked with technical professionals. Traders get higher rankings because they have a "book" of very transparent earnings contributions. Most technical people are pure overheard and cannot point out how they contribute to corporate profits. Thus, Traders are disproportionately higher rated...pushing technical people to the bottom. Results: faster promotions, bigger pay raises, more RSU

Brush up on your Dr. Seuss.
I think it is spelled 'Traitor'.
Enron had same bad spelling 20 years back.

Are you suggesting that by virtue of being a trader you deserve a bonus? Irregardless of your results?
