Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

People are ashamed because they work here

It wasn’t always like that, but now I’m ashamed to work at Sam’s. I am almost certain that there are many more who prefer to keep quiet about where they work?
This company has become one big shame. I think its reputation, as bad as it is, is much better than it should be given how things work here.

If you are not happy where you are then you should not be there !
Stop complaining and do something about it .

Never be ashamed to support yourself and family. Members are often a bit impressed with themselves. We provide a service and keep the store as safe as possible. They get jaded with free things and feel like they are living the big-shot life but they are just another upright walking monkey. Don't be ashamed to work. If people shame you for being responsible then well what is wrong with that picture in the 1st place? Sometime the GOAT is the least admired person. You just have to keep living and finding your own satisfaction. Fatten up the account with savings. I passed a member who was a big-shot in the store but begging on the streets. People always looking down at the other people and them people don't matter.

I bet you're the same person complaining about the GM using "food stamps"!

would you be proud to be unemployed, couldn't pay your bills, & relied on government handouts?
There should be no shame in working any honest job to make a living. But so many people in this world want to pretend they are above working retail or any service industry job.
Get over yourselves. You aren't as great as you think you are.
there is dignity in honest hard work. whether you're making $6 or $60 an hour.

Were you ever proud? I think anyone working retail shouldn't be proud. You can be proud of yourself and the hard work you put in, but never proud to work in retail. It's not some big achievement or accomplishment to get a job in retail. If someone says they work at McDonalds I don't say "Oh yeah, well I work for Sam's Club".

In my city you can not go into any parking lot without seeing an suv filled with members mark and those freezer bags with Sam's Club logo on it.

Plus we are dominating with the curbside pickup, club fulfillment and online orders, not to mention scan n go.
