Just Left Exxon Prior to Vesting: When does untested portion get removed from account

Hi Folks, like the title says: I left Exxon a couple of days ago, curious when the unvested portion of my 401k is removed from my Voya account (need to roll over), and when is unpaid vacation paid out (already submitted info to Hr before leaving)? Is the latter paid out on a normal pay-day date?

That's hard. You can't tell me it wasn't strategic decision.

Yup. You can rollover your vested portion. Unvested appears to just sit there. (Source: got PiPed last year and last day was 5 days before my 401k vested - definitely still not bitter about it (sarcasm)). Congrats on leaving. The grass is greener on the outside.

You can only rollover your vested portion & nothing stops you from doing that once voya is informed of your separation. Voya should show unvested vs vested. Your unvested portion will stay there, potentially for over a year in the off chance you come back (this is common with energy companies). My unvested has shown in my account going on 7 months now, even though my vested is rolled over.

Vacation pay in lieu should be within 45 days of your last day.
