Triple Crown is going away?

How long do you think before Triple Crown goes away?

“Chevron did not team up with truly innovative companies like Amazon or Google”. Fact is we were in a “research partnership” with Google a few years back before their techs stood up and refused to work with “big oil”. Microsoft, led from above, will work for anyone with cash, but, I agree, don’t expect much innovation.

I’m trading my Microsoft PC for an Apple Mac very soon and I no longer enjoy eating Slum Burgers anymore.

Whoever decided it was a good idea to give Schlumberger access to all our data should have been fired on the spot.

"Triple Crown" was Chevron's 'ground-breaking' idea to team up with two technically middle-of-the-pack companies (Microsoft and Schlumberger) in hopes of becoming top-tier. Basically it was Schlumberger and MS snake-oil salesmen selling gullible Chevron management on how they would 'transform' Chevron into a technological wonder. Mediocrity, regardless of a company's size and (past) reputation, never translates into top-of-the-pack performance. Schlumberger wants Chevron's data to create new protocols to sell other companies, and Microsoft (like IBM of the past) is just trying to stay relevant with something besides Windows. What is telling is that Chevron did not team up with truly innovative companies like Amazon or Google. If you love Windows and its constant middle-of-the-work-day updates, you'll love Triple Crown. Also note that many false prophet digital 'champions' have jumped onboard with TC. TC, like so many past fads, will fade away with time, with MS just using Chevron as a mass beta test site for its software.

Just be patient. 15 years ago a legacy UCL employee told me that if you wait long enough, all new initiatives go away. Some take longer than others. In the previous 15 years he has been correct.

As long as Joe Geagea is around, Triple Crown is not going away. Not sure what Triple Crown is? Don’t make the mistake of bending over to pickup a dropped pen or coin of the floor if he’s nearby. You’ll understand right away what it means.

Yes no way it is going away, even if it is useless, even if it ki--s productivity, even if it never works right: It is here to stay. Besides it is Microsoft; the company that can’t even make a stable copy of Windows on deployment; what did you expect?

No way its going away.
Once CEOs of 3 companies make a grand plan, all "triplecrowners" (aka employees) just have to line up their as--s to take it in.
