Anyone know or have heard of any middle managers that have been PIP’d? Just curious…..

Middle management are on the upper CL band and competition within this band is fierce. Since last year, I see a lot of them gone, either PIPd or walked away on their own.
Last year F&L Pres BM retired with little prior notice. XTO Pres SO retired in 2018 at the time of the upstream reorg. Neither were 65, and in the case of BM, several years from it. Maybe they were ready to spend more time with their families. Maybe they finally lost a round of the rat race and received a PIP instead of a big promotion.
Yes, middle and higher management absolutely does get PIP. 100% confirm.
I’m sure it happens but the problem is that it doesn’t happen to the ones that really need to be shown out

None that I have heard of/known. It doesn't surprise me at all, having been around for more than a few years with this cult of a company.
Appendix? The nail on your pinky toe? The hair on your taint? SLS / EM middle manager? The wax in your ears? What is more useless? Which of these has a better chance of getting a job outside of EM?
EM has 3+ BS layers that need to be eliminated.
Of course, if you are an overpaid executive who’s retirement eligible. That’s how we get those guys to leave their posts for next gen.
