Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Leave BTC young engineers, now!

The strategy is to send low quality work to BTC, remaining Houston employees to have high value work.

You will never compete for important roles and positions.

Campus hires in India - loaded with work with Zero training, on day 1. No exposure, still make things work, clean up mess left by dissatified unskilled employees for years. Blamed for failure.

Campus hires in US - EIO program, get lot of exposure for a year. Are still not up to speed on skills to do even basic work. No blame, as they are US citizens.

If this is not racial discrimination then i don’t know what is. This is not a meritocracy, there are no rewards, just illusion and fake talk leaders.

BTC Stealing job looks funny.

BTC and Houston were meant to work as one team .

With current psychological effect of layoffs and growth in headcount in BTC causes a perception of BTC Stealing jobs.

Anyway that psychological effect has taken Houston team to dump all low value work to BTC in the sugercoated words of bussiness needs , being competitive and driving BTC towards the MSP kind of work.

Next forum ask DC what is her thoughts around BTC. She will maintain her double standards.

if Houston thinks BTC is the cause of job LOSS, ask the LT team about it , instead of showing frustration on BTC by sending low value work and potray BTC doesn't have capabilities.

We are all in same boat and there is layoff in india as well .

We are not in a different boat ALL TOGETHER.

ASKING FOR EQUAL RESPECT AND OPPORTUNITIES.

Funny - I am in Houston and here everyone thinks everything will move to BTC and we have no future, while BTC thinks they have no future.

Which one is true because both can’t be true at same time !

This is the absolute truth.

BTC is seen as a low cost dump for Houston created mess. Senior management discussions are never beyond headcount. You are just a number. No one cares about your aspirations and goals, there isnt even a system in place to give fair opportunities to BTC engineers.

If you are being told there is, need to ask questions of your Expat Managers.

You are a stepping stone for expats to get a premium salary and satisfaction of getting work done through intimidation. Thats about it.

Use company reaources, get trained, do a couple of business trips( well whenever that starts) and leave! Don’t give any honts or question you supervisors.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE SO JUST SHUT UP AND KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN AND STOP ASKING FOR IMPROVMENTS AND CHANGES. NOT
GOING
TO
HAPPEN

Yes, thats the rage and frustration you develop when you work at ExxonMobil for quite some time. They will force you to come back to office pretty soon while you know the best for you is to stay home with your family and still get the job done.

Your obedience is what they want, no one gives a damn about your work. Your managers get speaking notes to answer your questions. They are parrots with no free will, just robots. Of course getting paid expat premiums to keep you all suppressed and suffering and begging for basic benefits and compensation to tolerate the other BS that is part of the weareEM culture.

The culture is to auppress employees, do not be misled. Nothing will change unless these people are fired.

Good luck, the young should never suffer, you have the only thing any amount of money can’t buy.

BTC is not to replace EMHC. How would you expect to get high value job ? If BTC can’t do it, they will gladly move it to KLTC.
