Back in the office propaganda

Give me a break, these feel good stories of people enjoying being back in the office on Flagscape. Who falls for that?

Insert hide the pain Harold meme. That would be the perfect picture about "returning to the office". What a bunch of sell outs. Trying to earn Brownie points.

The approach to this problem is very simple, for an intelligent person. If your job description requires facing clients or customers and you cannot interface with them via electronic smoke signals, then your physical presence is required in the salt mine. Otherwise, we WFH better when we're connected. We just need smart people to make decisions in that area, that's all.
Worst case scenario, we wait until next spring, after this fall covid wave and evaluate the back to office strategy. Right now, there are too many unknown unknowns and playing with people's lives should not be an option.

Instead of giving people a choice of three dates for mandatory return, BM doesn't have the nerve to include a 4th option of continuing to wfh. Despite his insistence that people want to go back, he knows it would blow his narrative full of more holes than a screen door.

Vote with your feet everyone!
Take a paycut if you have to for a remote role. It's worth you commute expense and sanity. This bank clearly does not give two poops about their employees. First they came for your comp now for your flexibility.
It's about creating an indentured workforce.

Santander Bank is going for the hybrid option as they understand that people are concerned about taking public transportation especially in NYC and Boston where there is a heavy reliance on public transportation. Why can't BM explore this option is beyond me!

We're not buying it at all and they probably was paid some nickels and dimes extra to pose in front of the cameras to look excited. It's sad how they are threatening employees that if you don't get vaccinated or if you don't reveal your status in that vaccination tool you're going to be possibly away from your team and sit who knows where. What's the use of doing that when things was working fine being at home where productivity was much better. Smh

I am astounded that they’re still pushing the return to office amid the current surge due to the delta variant. According to the department of public health, 50% of vaccinated people will get covid by November and apparently all the big businesses already know about this. This variant is more virulent and is able to better evade the current vaccines. They’ll protect people from severe illness but not from the infection itself. Working from home has been working, and working well, for the past 18 months. To push us all back just to meet some hyper sense of American capitalism is just disgusting. It really is a matter of us as the worker not owning our work or productivity. Our product is owned by these companies and that needs to change. There are floods devastating Germany and the Netherlands, the west is in deep drought and already has record fires happening, hurricanes after devastating hurricanes and we all have to bury our heads in the sand and pretend it’s not happening. In the midst of all of this, do they really need us all to commute hrs a day just for the sake of their bank accounts??? What is wrong with the world. Oh yea, and a family of four can be sustained on $25 an hr. Eyeroll.

This return to work cr-p has this long time employee getting my resume together. It’s atrocious and I’m sick of the blatant disregard for what is best for the employees.

When this return to work happens later this year, It is going to be brutal for the employees. This variant will cause another lockdown during the fall which will have employees back WFH. This smuck of CEO is one of the very few doing this return to work . They post these phony images on flagscape to look like everyone is for the return to work. This is going to be a disaster for everyone . BOA has nothing to lose because you can't sue them . This is why our big blockhead CEO is all for this RTW.

Nothing like seeing the corporate schmuck taking a pic from his palatial corner suite. Come down with the regular joe blows and they'd have a better understanding on why nobody wants to return to the cube farms.

How productive can a knowledge worker be while wearing a mask all day, and for some, during their commute? How clearly heard can people be on conference calls?
