Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Sadly, our meddle management is driving our company to the ground

Our group had expanded from 80 to 120 people in 3 years before the pandemic. Our department manager was the main driving force for this expansion despite the fact we were already lack of work at the time. He lied to the top management about the business needs and this expansion was his top accomplishment.

Now he is refusing to acknowledge his failure and, instead, moving many of our jobs to KLTC. This once again will become his new accomplishment. How pathetic is this!!! Middle management like him is driving our company to the ground.

Add F&L to the list, to much time spent hunting that "wascawwy wabbit" and trying to figure out the cosmic meaning of Synergy Fuels.

Can't say I'm surprised. The number of people propelled into leadership roles over "accomplishments" that hardly benefit the company ... It's no wonder the company is in the current state it is today

You really sound surprised.
Haven't you done similar things on a smaller scale?
Much smaller maybe, but similar.
Look at me, ma!

E&PS is already running lean. Procurement looking at MSPs, that only leaves one function EMIT, but your EMIT peers are all over the LI proudly touting a few jobs they have open and selling good old XOM out there.

The story of UIS, and the “diverse” VPs.
Useless bystanders to lost talent, opportunity squandered, and pandering.
Pure stupidity.

Add Baton Rouge to the list. Same lies and games here. Mass exodus of young and old is coming soon
