Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Last week at Honeywell

This is my last week here. Finally. I thought I would only work the bare minimum or almost nothing, but I still decided to work hard as always, so that no one could say anything negative about me. Still, I don’t know how I’m going to get through this and I can’t wait for the end of the week. What did your last week here look like, or, how do you plan to spend your last week here?

Last January, on a Thursday, I went home and told my husband that after 21 years, I was going to quit my job at Honeywell. The job was no longer the job I signed up for. My husband asked if I was giving a 2 week notice and I said no that Friday would be my last day. Friday I said my goodbyes to the few I cared about, sent a quick email to my boss and turned my phone and laptop into HR. I am of retirement age with no intentions of returning to the workforce, so I didn't have to worry about a reference. I have had no regrets and honestly could not have worked a notice. I hope your week goes quickly.

I set up meetings with myself that lasted all day every day so TEAMS would show I was busy and DnD. I slept in, went to the gym and laughed as I cashed my check.

@1zni, you think you would be paid for vacation or sick days if you were to give 2 weeks' notice?

Never did this before, but due to hellish environment in Aero, there will only be my last day's notice. Even if it means security walking me to the door and losing some sick & vacation days.

I made up two emails, one for customers and suppliers and one for coworkers. I hit send just before I left.
All the best!

I couldn't wait to leave. I also worked normal hours and did the best I could to deliver and tie up lose ends to help out teammates. When the final day came, it was a breath of fresh air. It was really a toxic working environment and I was glad to be free of it. Sold my stocks and never looked back.
