Compadres, don't be shocked by the upcoming news that Woods will be replaced by someone that can't get a woody.

It's the latest leadership trend in corporate America, along with the blatant promotion of people that will be validating the Peter Principle...... a lot sooner than in the old days.

in the 1980s, there were plenty of female accounting and finance graduates which if XOM had hired and developed would be in a position to take on the CFO position. Plus for last 30 years there have been plenty of female MBAs available to bring in at age 25 to 30 and develop. Somehow XOM failed at internally developing a female candidate. Thus, BOD wants management with high credentials from outside instead of internal candidates. This is a refreshing hire. May need a few more in IT and Procurement and other less technical areas. Eventually outside hires could be expanded into geoscience and engineering in the core business. Let's see how an outsider helps change culture. Good move, Darren

I bet we'll be seeing more new hires at upper levels.

I guess this reenforces Liam’s comment that the “female bench” is not like we would like, lol (couldn’t believe when he said that in a public meeting).

When will Woods be removed from office. We should rejoice when that day comes, have faith!
