Honestly, how hard was the new beginning for you? I’ve been here too long, but despite everything I decided to go somewhere else. I don't think I made a mistake in making that decision, but I'm still worried about a new beginning somewhere else after my long journey here.

I took a pay cut to leave a year and a half ago. I definitely feel like I've gotten free from an abusive relationship. I still keep in touch with friends there and it gives me anxiety to think about my time spent there. I still check here periodically out of habit. I was here daily while still with T, checking for leaked memos of layoffs. My anxiety is nearly gone now and in a few years I'll be making way more than I would have at AT&T. Good riddance.

I have been through two companies since I left the cesspool att and I would go back and work at either one but no way in hxxl I would go back to att even if they gave me my pension back. no way. att has a sickness and it i deep and dark and it will eventually eat it's own. no other company I have found is ran like att and trust me that is a good thing.
Stay or go, it's a job, make your decision on the pay. Look for fulfillment outside of whatever job you have or whatever company you work for. A job is just a way to make a paycheck. It must be very sad to need fulfillment from a corporation. It's called work because you are supposed to go and "work", it's not called "fulfillment day camp for old children". Base your job decisions on the pay it brings to your life. Your life is not a job. Best Wishes...

It was easy. Simple. Refreshing. Rejuvenating. Revitalizing. Awesome.
The best part is no longer having to carry around that triple weight of hating the CEO, feeling humiliated and soiled by having to acknowledge I was a T employee, and no longer dreading the next stupid thing the company, CEO, etc would do.
Add to that not having to suffer through pointless townhalls meant to brainwash the masses and stroke c-suite egos, no longer worrying about the next re-org/layoff, and not having to continuously hear how the employees are the reason the company is failing.
Starting over is like getting out of an abusive relationship, being released from prison, or finally being freed from kidnappers.
Super easy, and super rewarding.
Not hard, AT&T is not the only new kid on the block. You will find greater pay if you leave.
Not that difficult, just need to ensure you have done your homework on the wealth planning to make it seamless, if the company offers 401k matching (your pay will be higher). You need to max that out.
