Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Do you feel drained, shattered and lost interest after RTO announcement?

I feel like I lost the momentum I had as we anxiously waited return to office (RTO) in hopes that the company has changed and willing to listen and adapt. My days since the announcement have been miserable and unproductive/low energy.

I have extreme anxiety about going back because I do not need to be there. I am non client facing and do not sit with my team. We are all over. Even when i was in a core location we conducted meetings by webex. rarely did we meet in person and when we did it was not productive.

I have dusted up my resume after 20 years in the Bank. I'm ok to take a pay cut but not to go back.

How many feel the same??

I do not want to go back. This delta variant is giving me major anxiety. You can catch it from fleeting exposures and Israel announced just yesterday that the Pfizer vaccine protects “significantly less” than the 64% they calculated a couple of weeks ago. I understand that they protect against death but I DO NOT want long term consequences just because BM won’t let us work from home. He should be happy, we’re working longer hours and taking less sick days off WFH. It’s absolutely bonkers. Those that commented that they want to go in - great. But most people unequivocally do not want to go in everyday during this recent surge.

Don't do business with BofA, change banks, don't get a loan from them, get a credit card from another financial institution, don't invest with them or their affiliates. Tell your friends to do the same. The company does not deserve our business.

I feel the same way but they won't budge. I also think it needs to be on a voluntary basis. For the ones who want to go back let them and for the ones that want to continue to WFH let them but they won't listen to the employees. So either get ready to take that vaccine or just be prepared to sit with your mask on all day along with the twice a week COVID testing that's basically the choices we are given.

The bank will not do hybrid. And the bank will not do WFH even though it is working. They have to keep shareholders happy. And right now they are not happy. Maybe when the next strains come thru and we will be in a lockdown again there is a slight chance they will come around to accepting WFH, but highly doubt it.

I'm looking forward to going back. I would like a hybrid model of working a couple days a week at home.

I am willing and able to go back. I'm tired of being home. I need separation so I do not feel the same.
