Morgan Stanley Requiring Vaccinations and Return to Office

Fiserv will follow suit shortly, announcing that all employees will be required to be vaccinated and return to the office in September. If you haven't returned by the end of October you'll be let go, sorry not sorry!
This does not apply to executives and those in the NYC office until the renovations are complete in 2022.

Google will require vaccine:

Pichai disclosed that once offices are fully reopened, everyone working there will have to be vaccinated. The requirement will be first imposed at Google's Mountain View, California, headquarters and other U.S. offices, before being extended to the more than 40 other countries where Google operates.

What a sorry state the world is in where even public health practices have been politicized to divide us.

Employers can require the vaccine but must make reasonable accommodations for people who refuse based on religion (EEOC). Therefore if Fiserv requires the vaccine I will become a Christian Scientist https://www.christianscience.com/. I will then be work from home permanently and if I'm fired I just alert to EEOC. Problem Solved!

A broad majority of U.S. employers, 65%, plan to offer employees incentives to get vaccinated and 63% will require proof of vaccination, according to an ASU/Rockefeller Foundation survey.

Overall, 44% will require all employees to get vaccinated, 31% will just encourage vaccinations and 14% will require some employees to get vaccinated.

@8dzy+1bUwyyPi I agree with most of what you said except "good luck finding one"... It was not only an unnecessary comment but a silly one that proves you have your eyes and ears closed. There are MANY companies offering remote opportunities and they pay more and are more rewarding.

I’m not sure why this is such a big topic of debate. If the company (or any company) mandates that vaccines are required for employment then you either take the vaccine or you find somewhere else to work that doesn’t require it (good luck finding one). It is the same as pre-employment dr-g screening and credit checks. If you don’t want to participate then you can’t work here. Pretty simple concept to understand.

The company can’t force you to take the vaccine against your will. Likewise you can’t force the company to employe you against their vaccine mandate.

Fiserv HR is unable to apply critical thinking to create their own policies and instead resort to copying what other companies are doing. I was in the FL building that got shut down.. here's to hoping they don't rent a new building and force us back in.

Your first link is a judge dismissing a case, so it was not heard on its merits.

Your second link is OSHA backing off a previous statement because their masters in the White House told them to after being embarrassed by their previous statement..

Your third post is only conjecture by the HHS secretary, who misapplied a law covering medical logistics companies. He will be long gone by the time these lawsuits begin gearing-up, so he doesn't care in either event.

So, ever wonder why most companies are not stupid enough to force the vax? Because they know full well that nobody will rescue them a couple of years down the road when injured employees get lawyers and proceed to sue.

Texas federal judge Lynn Hughes became the first to weigh in on a line of cases across the country challenging prevailing legal thought that, so long as private employers comply with medical and religious exceptions, they can fire employees who refuse COVID-19 vaccination. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/covid-19-vaccine-employment-cases-outlook-142710125.html

OSHA will not enforce 29 CFR 1904’s recording requirements to require any employers to record worker side effects from COVID-19 vaccination through May 2022. https://www.osha.gov/

The federal government has granted companies like Pfizer and Moderna immunity from liability if something unintentionally goes wrong with their vaccines. You also can’t sue the Food and Dr-g Administration for authorizing a vaccine for emergency use, nor can you hold your employer accountable if they mandate inoculation as a condition of employment. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/16/covid-vaccine-side-effects-compensation-lawsuit.html

I’m 100 percent in favor of remote workers! The past year has shown it is a very effective arrangement in most cases. I’m also in favor of every effort to defeat the COVID virus and restrain its spread and reduce the chances of more destructive variants that could endanger everyone. The facts are that we are in a pandemic that has ki---d over 600,000 of our fellow Americans. Please consult your doctor to get advice on the benefits of the vaccines. We are all in this together!

The courts and government have ALREADY sided with corporations and said they CAN require the vaccine. This has been documented in several court cases as well as guidance from various government agencies. So, No, you won't be seeing any lawsuits against Fiserv for any reason.

It's gonna suck when Frank has to shovel his own money back into the company to keep it from drowning in injury lawsuits. Oh, wait, that's not going to suck at all, LOL.

Fiserv's Legal team better be ready for more than a few lawsuits about requiring employees to take an experimental dr-g that is still not licensed by the FDA.
