Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Each day you stay with AT&T...

You get what you deserve.

Get the hint, they want you gone. Stay and they will just add more to your workload and the cost of your healthcare while you do the work of at least 2 people.

If you are craft you were receiving free healthcare. Now you pay into a "benefit". While you received pay raises they go straight to that medical but you pay more into SS and medicare. The union takes more with each raise.

So the last 15 years or so you think you have the gold Rolex but you have been stagnant or losing. Especially if you use said healthcare. That is a Casio. You have been conditioned to think each pay raise equals more money. If you are craft you fall in the 22-24% tax rate before deductions. Meaning each dollar is now taxed at that rate. You aren't getting a 3% raise you pay more in taxes and into a healthcare plan. You stay because you have not planned. The things you walked into are no longer there. You have to work until 65 or pay your healthcare by yourself. You are being taxed at a higher rate, so if you really love money you would walk with what you have. You are stuck there. It sucks and you can spin it as if it is better than you walked in. I does not change you have to work. You don't have the p-t of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Would I be wrong in saying T employees have one of the weakest unions to allow medical to gobble up raises and then some, going from free medical to as much as over 200 dollars a month?

It's still a free country. T employees should leave the company on their own terms. No one size fits all. No one should be forced out for reasons other than COBC violations and underperformance issues.

Right. We had free healthcare. You pay what into your health care now? Want to retire? You get nothing for health care from them. How about that pension that will be under attack? You had raises the past 15 years while you pay more and more into healthcare, pay more taxes ( those raises are taxed twice as much), and if you are in the union more in dues

You stay because you depend on that check and had poor planning. I get your check staying home. I pay no healthcare. I left with my pension and 401k greater than your pension if you even have one. I am 47 years old. If you need that paycheck to live and you been with the company over 20 years you are behind in life. You will be there until 65 now. Underpaid, not appreciated, and you lose more each year you stay. Good Luck with that Karen.

I’m craft. I get paid. I’ll leave when I no longer want the money.

Until the Stinky leaves, and the BoD is replaced - they will continue to find new ways to build the toxic environment. That should show you what they think of you. They want all US workers out, and replaced by Mumbai U grads. Well, except for the C-Suite.

C-Suite ==> Crook Suite
