Our wonderful manager sold jobs overseas based on how successful we were when wfh. Double edged sword. She’s looking really spiffy these days

DW would probably make an OF account before he ever authorizes the peons to WFH permanently.

This is an oil company you need to drive to work and create demand for MoGas!

50% of the people will believe statistics that are made up on the spot.

Did you know that 75% of statistics are made up on the spot?

I’d love it, but repairing the condensate pump on Zoom just doesn’t work.

Requiring employees to spend hours in traffic just to sit in the office for Zoom/WebEx/MS Teams meetings, all of which can easily be conducted from home, has no rational basis other than to satisfy management’s need for control over the lives of their employees

Spot on. Collaboration doesn’t take place in the office anymore anyway since the fake layoffs everyone is siloed documenting their ranking bullets.

@OP - would I like to work from home permanently ? Oh, my God - YES !!! To not have to interact with the biggest bunch of arrogant a-holes ever, or pretend to like them ? Fabulous. Out of all the people at Clinton, the number of people I could stand are in the single digits.

Here's that Tax Break / Body Count article.
Harris v. Montgomery counties - who gives a Pips ar-e?

Bodies must be in designated seats. Eatin chick-fil-a.

For the Harris Country tax write-offs - there must be a specific number of bodies in each office building on a continuous basis. It costs in the 10s of millions if this number is not met. This was previously posted here by another person, but recieved little attention.

If not for the tax break element - which globally is about 30% of the overall 'profit' for this corporate socialist syndicate - I would never come into office. Hybrid or otherwise.

Never seeing the swinish faces of the management reach-around klown bastids would be sufficient for me to stay employed here.

Excellent rating this year btw.

@OP No collaboration takes place in the office. Not even before Covid.

Requiring employees to spend hours in traffic just to sit in the office for Zoom/WebEx/MS Teams meetings, all of which can easily be conducted from home, has no rational basis other than to satisfy management’s need for control over the lives of their employees.

You id--ts,
Working from home, office or hybrid will all suck as long as you are working for this company.

I agree, hydrid is the best model. When presenting, in person is much better. When doing actual work, remote is more efficient.

Hybrid model of some kind would work best. Two hours in a car each day is my main reason. Seems like a waste to be in the office and have very few interactions and all meetings are zoom anyway.

Weird that we say remote support is the new way when deciding not to send support to TA or that remote btc support works but when it comes to worker flexibility in the US throw a fit about how it can't be. Pick one.

No, but I would love a hybrid option to come into the office 3 days a week and the option to WFH the other days. We preach work life balance but don’t really have one, at least working from home helps us be around our loved ones more not to mention the time and stress relief from driving through traffic
