Member Shoppers Schedule

I work in a Texas club and our managers are not following the schedule template for our area. Only 2 associates work at 4am. The next associate is scheduled at 6am, next 8am and the next at 9:30am. We struggle every day to get our orders done by the due time. I just don't understand why they will not schedule us at 4am like the guidelines in order to have the orders completed. 'We leave at 12:30am and we still have 30 plus orders that need to be pulled. They are also using our payroll to cover the floor coverage. If we use our associate that is on our payroll when we get behind the leads act as though they are doing us a favor giving us our person to help us out. Which he or she can not help us until the sales floor is done. Some days we will have only 1 person working at 4am. We're all exhausted trying to keep up and most of the time we don't get a lunch until the 12:00pm associates arrive. One manager made the decision that the schedule home office put in place is not working out. We would complete most or all the orders and be able to help with taking the orders out the the member's vehicles. The morale in our area is so negative and we're all exhausted.

I have 5 ft openers, typically. I’m working on getting the night shift staffed now. We have staff most days. Need more on Sunday than what is budgeted, but we’re working on it. Thursday-Sunday is a struggle every week. My staff follows the block but I think the lead needs to be 9-530 to be there during the meat off the day. We’re the first line of managers but not there when the team or members really need us.

Wow. Our team lead would change the schedule so she could walk around and do other jobs to help other departments. F-ked us ever time.

We usually have 6 to 7 that come in at 4am and 1 that comes in at 8am. We have 3 that close. We usually have most of the orders pulled by 12:30. We get about 210 orders a day..

I am a TL here in California and I have 4 full timers in at 4am I also have one or 2 part timers in at 6 to help cover breaks and lunches, they work till 1230 as well. If my full timer is off then my part timer comes in at 4 we never have less than 4 people at 4am. All orders are usually done by 10am except for the ones that pop in throughout the day. I have one designated dispenser at 7 out of the people that came in at 4. One associate does price changes before the store opens as well. Once all of most orders are done my associates help out at the registers the door or wherever they are needed. We do leave some orders for the closers the orders that pop in once the others are done and orders after 3pm, I fully staff my night shift as well with 2 full timers at 1230 and 2 part timers from 2 to 630. We work as a team with other departments so I’m able to use up my payroll for my department but we work in other departments as needed.

Hmmm complete opposite in my club. There’s like 4 people that come in at 4 and they still need help from the Merchandisers to pick orders and MSLs to help dispense.

This has to be in the dallas/fort worth area because management run their clubs however they want to

Your management hasn't fully understood the utilization of "The plane has landed" technique!

I'm a TL and I have 4 people at 4am. They are able to pick 95% if not 100% by the time the next shift starts. The pm shift does most of the dispensing and it really helps them not having to pick orders. When they are slow, they pick for the next day. It's taken a few months of trial and error but 4 people in the am has worked great.
