Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Returning to the office will save your job?

I absolutely agree with someone who wrote that it is naive to expect that going back to the office means saving your job. That is just my opinion, but it is very clear to me that BofA has decided to get rid of people and it will do it regardless of whether you return to the office or not. I wish I am wrong.

what about the unproductive time in the office in dragged out meetings, fluff talking in the break room or walking to the rest room. Its just changing one unproductive time for another.

When in any time in history, has any company OWED you a job ? You either take the job on the company terms, or you don't. I can't believe how many people on this forum think they're ENTITLED to a WFH role at the Bank. Your job description isn't to stay home in your pajamas, then run errands, go shopping, etc, , then insert a few hours of work time, all the while disregarding everything but crucial IM requests/emails. I know you say you work 10-12 hours a day, but truthfully how much of that is really productive company time ? Your Mgmt is asking you to get back to the office, and interact with other associates/Mgmt so your value and contributions can be more closely scrutinized. The people paying you need to justify their office-space costs, determine your ability to work face-face with a team, and what value you're adding to the bottom line. Get with the program or get out of the way.

We’ve lost so many good workers over the years, 0 effort made to keep any of them, place is basically turning into a sweatshop, make the remaining overworked and less knowledgeable

If you want your job, quit whining, get your shot and get back to the office. If you don't want the shot, and/or you don't want to return to the office, then there are lines of people that will take your job. It doesn't matter how proficient you are in your position, there's always a new hire that will learn quickly and make everyone forget about you. No more bellyaching about 'my kids', 'my spouses health', 'my health', 'my home life situation', 'my commute', 'my religion' blah, blah, blah. Your CEO has asked you to come back, and work in their building. You're lucky they're giving you an option. If you want to continue to draw a salary from the Bank, accept their terms, or find another job.

Returning to work will save your job but not your life. This is an absolute asinine topic to talk about. Here we have this stupid azz CEO that is he-l bent on getting his sheeple back in the office. This is so irresponsible and reckless for the health and safety of our employees .

They will layoff anyone any day without warning. Then will replace you with someone cheaper or from India.
Half of the company is that way now.

This company is so azz backwards because we are the only one's having our employees RTO and laying people off. These other companies are telling people to WFH and posting help wanted ads.

Who cares if they get rid of anyone? This company is a fuhhing joke. There are millions of jobs available if you get fired or decide to get unemployment . I wouldn't care if they laid me off tomorrow. This is a shlithole company in my opinion. They are the absolute worst in my opinion. I have many colleagues that told me, once you leave BOA and go to another bank you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner.
