The delta variant is exploding worldwide, cases in the United States are skyrocketing. Being vaccinated protects most people against hospitalization and deaths, but since the CDC decided not to count breakthrough infections back in May, we don’t know exactly how many are getting “mild” infections. I am fully vaccinated and DO NOT want covid. Just take a look at articles where entire teams, and families got “breakthrough” infections. Hop onto Reddit and you’ll see plenty of anecdotes where 11out of 15 friends got covid, or like an entire family reunion was infected. I care about my health, I care about long term effects, and bringing us back in right now really devalues our worth as human beings. It’s pretty callous and makes no sense. The closer we get to Labor Day, the more upset I become. For those that absolutely need to go back into the office that’s fine, but for those that can function from home - what is the point of exposing us to risk? Am I alone on this?

This delta variant will definitely slow this asinine process of RTO. This pathetic company/CEO need to wake up and realize this damn virus is still here and has gotten stronger and more prevalent throughout the world. We must continue the WFH to protect our employees and their loved ones. If he ignores this he really doesn't give a damn about the employees livelihood.
I couldn’t agree more. I think the vaccine gave people hope that we’re about over this…for like a month. That hopefulness has now turned into stupidity in thinking it’s all over. Apple announced they have now delayed bringing their people back in. Wouldn’t surprise me to see other companies doing the same soon. One can hope, right?
