Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Plenty of available jobs

If you have an issue with RTO, there are plenty of available jobs in banking and in many other fields that have gone fully remote since the pandemic and plan to stay that way. Everybody is hiring. This is one of the rare situations where you have no reason to stay in a job you hate because you have no other options. Be proactive and you'll be okay.

I am glad many BOA employees are leaving this shlithole of a company. These people are finding careers with better pay than this shlithole . I expect a mass exodus from this company when the RTO begins. I also heard the word on the street about BOA is this is just use this place like a pit stop until something better comes along.

There are no published ranges because it's different based on your job title, functional role, and line of business you're in.

I was told there was “No published range” for B5. Can you share any range info, just curious why I am likely not being told the whole story.

Interviewed for JP and GS here in DFW this year. Both of them beat my salary (NYC salary) here in Dallas...not by much, but the fact that they did for a similar role says a lot about Pay in BofA. IN NYC i was told I'm at the top of the range for B5.

Ultimately, i got out of banking all together and joined a remote role for a tech company (pre-ipo). Could not be happier. I can breath again knowing I'm learning and have that flexibility. Oh and they topped me off with 10% more...If i want to go to the office, all i have to do is go there whenever and wherever i want

Trying to make sense of hierarchies and potential salaries at JP Morgan has been difficult but also looking at USAA, Capital One, and Goldman Sachs. The JPMorgan nice, new building in Plano is light years ahead of the BofA Corporate Dr campus which has looked the same since I started in 2006. Liberty Mutual building in Legacy West is also nice.
