In the US West region, are Cisco grade 12 folks making $300K in total compensation? Do you need to be at grade 13 for that?

I was grade 12 before taking the package last year (20 year employee)...overall comp was around $240K..prob more in San Jose...but you more likely have to be a director (grade 13) to be hitting $300K a year......
I was grade 13 aka 89 when I left last year. Base $240 comm-at-plan $110 and annual RSU vest of $175.
I just about doubled my annual income by leaving.

Given that CPF was low last year , your IPF would have to be 2.5 to make that bonus.
Bay Area? Sure. Last year as a 12:$185 base, $70 bonus, $80 RSUs.

25% bonus on top, then image 1.25 to 1.75 IPF

I see on glassdoor; typical grade 12 making less than $230K total in US West. So I guess the starting point for $300K is more common for grade 13 folks. The poster said it right about becoming a target if salary is getting too high though.
You can make $300k as a grade 12 but I'd say these are the people who will either get promoted soon or that will get laid off even sooner. Now I am not talking about Sales - with commissions, they can go way over.
The thing with grades is that they have a huge range and in the case of a grade 12, you'd have to be way over the midpoint, meaning these are people who most likely have been a grade 12 for 5 years or more.
Grade 4. No, you don't need to be grade 13 for that.
