A behemoth collection of quality companies over the years if they just left companies alone to do what made them successful. ATT is like a toddler playing jenga. They sc--w up every time with the simplest thing staring them in front of their faces. Its the culture and they cant help it. They have to find synergies, integrate, efficiencies etc...and they sc--w it up every time. They stroll in ounding their chest and the talent e.g. s for the door.

How many years for you to figure out how to say "AT&T could have been..." Good hindsight.
yeah it is almost like they another motive for buying the companies - go figure.
T senior management has been mediocre at best for the last 30 years or so. It thought it wanted to be a computer company in 91, so it bought NCR, then realized it’s too competitive a market and spun it off years later. Same with Comcast, DTV, Warner Media no many other failed attempts to reinvent itself. T needs a veteran from the communications industry to come in and steer this ship on the right course. Otherwise, history will keep repeating itself year after year and investors will eventually start jumping ship!
Jenga is a super fun game. Glad AT&T is playing it too.
Verizon dabble in content for around $12 Billion, realized they couldnt swim and took a loss. ATT leaps off the diving board blind folded while the pool is empty and drops $150B on DTV and TWX, offload them and probably cost themselves at least $100B in overall damage. When ATT comes calling you raise your asking price 20%, investment banks raise their fees, and customers and employees flee. You simply cannot make up how bad management is along with the culture they curated. Just keep cashing their check and sell any stock you have. Sub $20 is right around the corner.
