Title says it all, lots of speculation and haters on here, but has anyone actually been laid off lately?

To answer OP, no. Not at least to the extent we've all been expecting for years coming from both a former and current IBMer. I can't tell if the haters on this forum are fake or actually humans whining every week but read them all with a grain of salt. Wait, does that phrase work here? You get the idea.
Layoffs will come in time… that is a certainty with IBM!
It's not all haters. People are sharing their hard feelings working at IBM. Although, this is a layoff site, people find it useful to discuss IBM views, what's happening around their business units and with their products. They can't talk these things with HR or HR can't tell the truth. But this board really shows people's perspective. If many employers are haters, the company is bound to fail. No one can change the destiny. Just look at other companies board. None of them are active like this. It means most of the people are afraid of layoffs and not happy with the management/executives.
Except the truth about IBM. When I joined I was so proud to be an IBMer. Now, every day I just curse the company and their status. Only the people who come here and share their true feelings, I feel connected with this board more than my actual colleagues.
